FBI lost our co-captain, Beth Robertson suddenly to cancer on Sept 1st. After only learning she had ovarian cancer on Aug 20th, she had surgery and lost her battle due to kidney and heart complications. We all miss her so much. She did so much for the team. She loved playing flyball with her dogs, Rudie and Rayne and all her friends.
People have been asking about her services and what they could do pay their respects.
FBI has been working with NAFA for a special Beth Robertson Flyball Honor Board. They have extended the deadline for ordering so that her board will be ready in time for the 2014 CanAm Games in October.
To the right is an example of a NAFA Honor Board. The board is one of the flyball jump support boards and will be used in the CanAm games.
Beth’s board will be green, FBI team colors, and the first two plaques will have her name and FBI logo. The rest of the plaques, there can be as many as 20 to a board, will be available to any individual or team that would like to honor Beth’s memory by purchasing a plaque ($20) and writing anything appropriate to Beth on it. All proceeds will go to NAFA and support flyball, a sport and pastime that Beth loved very much.
To purchase your plaque in Beth’s honor, just go to http://flyball.org/database/honorboard_entry.php and mention Beth Roberson and team FBI, and they will know what to do with it.
The deadline has been extended to September 17th so if you want to do this, you must act soon.
As far as Beth’s services goes, her Memorial/Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, September 27th at 3pm at the Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA 22302. You are welcomed to attend or you can mail a card with your condolences to the Funeral Home, just write Attention Family of Beth Robertson on the envelope.
